Located in a historic complex partially constructed by Duke Friedrich Franz I, the heir to the throne of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Grand Hotel Heiligendamm offered an ideal location for an intimate wedding by the sea for Claudia & André, a couple in love from Hamburg.
This famous site, overlooking the dreamy seascape of the Baltic coast provided the perfect venue for the ceremony, while thoughtful planning by a renowned wedding planner Anna Brinkmann allowed the bride and groom to forget about all everyday hustles and spend carefree time in a close company of dearest family members and best friends.
The day began with a scenic walk on the golden beach accompanied by the refreshing sea breeze. After such a heavenly start to the celebration, the time came for Claudia & André to begin preparations for an enchanting outdoor ceremony by the beach, where they were proclaimed “husband and wife”. The free wedding ceremony was accompanied by the view over the blue sea, sailor-boats and seagulls flying over the heads. Could it be even more romantic?
What we couldn’t miss was a peaceful stroll around the resort and an enjoyable couple session, shot on with analog treasure Contax 645. The seaside atmosphere encouraged the couple to relax and savor every moment of the romantic experience as the luxury hotel provided guests with all needed amenities and eliminated the need to rush and change the location.
For the newlywed, the sea was an important symbolic element which dominated the theme of the whole wedding. The classic and luxurious wedding styling was achieved by delicate pastel tones of the intricate decor and dazzling exterior of the venue. The flower decoration was created by one of my favorite florists from Hamburg Blumen Graaf.
As a fine art destination photographer traveling all over Germany, I felt privileged to capture and preserve the memories of this special day for Claudia & André, who chose the wonderful and so inspiring place as Baltic Sea for their wedding. What a beautiful experience!
