Did you know that I am a huge fan of wedding weekends? What could be more gorgeous than getting all your family and friends and to celebrate your wedding for a couple of days? I experienced this concept already several times and I have to say, that there are strong advantages for everyone: for the bride and groom as well as for the guests.
A “Get-Together” an evening before the wedding day gives everyone the opportunity to get to know each other much better, same as a slow Brunch the day after the wedding. Also the newlyweds have the time to talk to everyone of their guests, which is not always possible just on the big day.
Celebrating in one place, as here in Schlossgut Groß Schwansee, located directly by the sea, is like gifting a hideaway-holiday to your beloved ones. Morning and evening walks breathing the salty air and feeling the sand below your feet. Oh, I already get nostalgic of this day, once in the middle of August.
As you will see in the photographs, my gorgeous couple Anja and Martin had an absolutely lovely day. The wedding concept was maritime with many shades of blue, exclusively accompanied by gold and the nature green. The outdoor ceremony in the backyard of this luxury residence by the Baltic Sea was doubtless a highlight.
It is so precious to hear the very personal story of a couple, to relieve with them the moments so important for them and to listen to their vows, this is what a wedding should be about. Of course I am a huge fan of beautiful details and decoration, of stunning backgrounds and a matching color palette. They make a wedding becoming your personal touch of beauty and personality. But being the witness of those shiny eyes, the little gestures of love, experiencing the highest happiness of two people – this is what makes me love being a wedding photographer the most.
